BC Tightens Inspection Standards for Better Coquitlam Home Inspection

The ministry for housing began a consultation between the public and industry stakeholders in 2013 and identified numerous consumer issues regarding the home inspection industry. These issues include higher training requirements for inspectors, higher minimum standards for inspection, and clearer information for clients to know what to expect. To avoid such mistakes when attaining services from home inspectors in Coquitlam, first make sure that they are licensed. As of the moment, licenses are obtained and renewed by passing regular examinations set by four different associations that regulate the home inspection industry in the province, including the Canadian Association of Home and Property Inspectors. There are currently 440 licensed home inspectors in the province, and it’s imperative to hire only the services of reliable Coquitlam home inspection companies such as Firstclass Building Inspections under registered home inspector Steve Beliveau.
